Trifest 2019 – Saturday 31st August
We had a great day at this year’s fifth Trifest event and the crowds were treated to a great afternoon entertained ‘Spice Forever’ a fantastic Spice Girls tribute band, and also DJ Dan Harding, who always does a great job. We had many craft stalls and fairground rides, food and refreshments, a beer tent. You can see pictures on our Facebook page.
Macmillan Ploughman’s Coffee & Cake Lunch – Thursday 26th September @ 12:30
We are pleased to report that we raised over £350 at this year’s event and our Social Committee rounded it up to make a donation of £400. Thank you for your support and also thanks to EEBC for allowing us free use of the room at Ewell Court House.
Local Planning
We have had a few significant planning applications to deal with recently and ECRA placed objections to two major ones, including the Belway Homes/Epsom and Ewell High School proposal and also the application to build a seven storey block of flats at Station Approach in Stoneleigh. These are tricky issues to deal with as we know the Council is under pressure from the Government to provide more housing. We do our best to take the views of our residents into account when deciding on any action.
Good health,
Kerrie Baker
